Friends of the Goodman South Madison Library

On June 10 th , 2023, the Friends sponsored a StorySLAM based on the theme of ‘relationships’ as explored in this year’s Go Big Read selection: How the Word is Passed. This event was held at the Urban League and roughly 75 folks showed up to listen and even tell their own stories. Friends raised the funds for this event though the help of Delta Beer Lab who kindly selected Goodman Friends as their non-profit partner for the month of April, providing us with over $5,500 in donated tips. This was the Friends first sponsorship of an event of this kind, and we’d like to do more!
