Friends of the Goodman South Madison Library

It is with deep sadness that we share with you that Linda Baumann, Vice-
President of the Friends of Goodman South Madison Library Board and stalwart library advocate, died on April 13, 2026.

Linda was already an active supporter of and generous financial contributor
to the Goodman South Madison Library when she joined the Friends Board
in April 2022. During her four years on the board, she was involved in
many outreach and funding endeavors, including planning and conducting
our Go Big Read StorySLAM and numerous book sales, as well as behind-
the-scenes work with valuing and sorting donated books. From 2023 to
2025 she also represented all nine Friends groups of Madison Public
Libraries on the Madison Public Library Foundation Board.
